Stress !!!!

We often say or hear people saying they are at stress… Actually what is stress…? Some people thrive on a busy lifestyle and are able to cope well with daily stresses. Other people feel tensed or stressed by the slightest change from their set daily routine…

  • Travel to the places you like, eat your favourite foods, be in the company of your best friends these 3 things will do wonders if you are stressed…
  • There is no point in thinking about yesterdays with regret. Be prepared for tomorrows but never too anxious about it either.
  • Walk for at least half an hour in the morning. Exercising in the fresh outdoors is any day better than a work-out at home. Going around the house doing your chores is never considered as an exercise.
  • Meditate every day for 15 minutes. Follow this with simple breathing exercises for 15 minutes for relaxation.
  • Spend time with children and play with them. Don’t let go of the child in you ever.
  • Keep your home and work place tidy and fill it with positive energy.
  • Look for the positives in life, and things for which you’re grateful. Write down three things at the end of every day which went well or for which you’re grateful.
  • Improving your sleep schedule will go a long way in helping you reduce stress. Most people should get 7-9 hours of sleep a day to get a healthy night’s sleep.


  • Find time to help others. If you don’t have time to volunteer, try to do someone a favor every day. It can be something as small as helping someone to cross the road or going on a coffee run for colleagues. Favors cost nothing to do, and you’ll feel better.
  • Maintaining the right diet is the key to reducing stress. You may be stressed because you’re overdosing on caffeine or eating way too many sweets or salty foods without even noticing it.
  • Don’t rely on alcohol, smoking and caffeine as your ways of coping.
  • A good belly laugh doesn’t just lighten the load mentally. It lowers cortisol, your body’s stress hormone, and boosts brain chemicals called endorphins, which help your mood.
  • Some people find they have times in their life when stress or anxiety becomes severe or difficult to cope with. See a doctor if stress or anxiety becomes worse. Further treatments such as anxiety management counselling or medication may be appropriate.
  • Maintain a to-do journal. As you write the things that you have to do during the day (also during the week), you spare your mind the unnecessary pressure to remember those things and remind you about them.

    Stress comes and goes in all our lives. Your ability to adapt well to stressors is key for a good quality of life and health preservation. If you don’t adapt, stress can surely kill.

    If you want to live longer, you better learn to defuse your stress. Simply managing stress is all about taking charge of your thoughts, emotions, schedule, and the way you deal with your problems… Less stress means you can sleep better, you have a new positive outlook on life, and most importantly you can enjoy life…
